Graphic Design Studio Offers Grant for Nonprofits

WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina – Fifth Letter, a graphic design studio focusing on nonprofits, publishing, educational institutions, and emerging businesses, has established a grant program for area nonprofit organizations.
Applications from nonprofits in the Triad area will be accepted until noon on May 31, and materials are available online beginning today.
The staff of Fifth Letter will work with an assembled panel of area business, education, and nonprofit leaders to help choose the initiative(s) that will have the greatest impact in our community. The award(s) given will total $10,000 in donated time.
“Nonprofits often come to us for help with great ideas and energy but nominal financial resources to implement them,” says Strunk. “With our grant program, we will be able to help deserving organizations take their branding and promotional efforts from concept to reality in creative and strategic ways.”
In addition to design and marketing services, Fifth Letter offers strategic planning to help organizations and businesses focus their purpose and message for select audiences. This enables clients to communicate effectively when considering projects which are wide-ranging coordinated efforts that may span multiple media.
Elliot Strunk, founder and Creative Director of Fifth Letter, has years of experience working with a diverse list of clients. Since beginning Fifth Letter, his nonprofit client history has included 88.5 WFDD, Downtown Middle School, The Center for Design Innovation, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), Renaissance Theatre Company, Southeastern Center for Contemporary Arts (SECCA), the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts, Open Dream Ensemble, Twin City Track Club, the Winston-Salem Recreation and Parks Department, and the Winston-Salem Transit Authority (WSTA).
