Interior Architecture & Design is an interior design firm in Raleigh, North Carolina. They had recently moved into a new building and wanted to let clients and friends know about the event in a fun and engaging way.

IDEA approached us about creating a flip book. It would be printed in a short-run, bound in an interesting way, and be a kinetic example of space being rearranged and transformed — a metaphor for the idea of moving — since a name change was part of the transformation as well.
We also decided to include a belly band that, when removed, revealed the intent of the booklet and piqued curiosity enough to get the reader engaged.

Flip Book Animation
As it turned out, the client couldn’t justify the expense to print and assemble the books, but still wanted to adapt our thinking. We suggested the idea of an email blast to clients and friends with an animation that still embodied the spirit of the book.
