Lontano
The word “lontano” is a musical term meaning “from a distance.” This music compilation was created to provide a snapshot of one person’s musical tastes to share with friends by being mailed to points around the country rather than being pulled down from a website. This created a more intimate and archival experience.
CD Design
The photography was all found artwork combined with textures from wallpaper books. Light plays an important part in the images along with the absence of people. The goal was to set a mood for absorbing the music and reading the editorial comments for each track listed on the inside cover.
