Norton Street Business Services is a growing business that needed a change. Formerly Norton Street Consulting, their scope of services grew as they recognized more diverse opportunities with their clients.
Logo
The folks at Norton Street returned to us with some news. The focus of their business widened to include providing strategic solutions rooted in technology, rather than just being the guys under your desk fiddling with cables. This change also meant a new name and with it a new logo.
They wanted something that was “tech” without being cold, and also a mark that was a bit quirky. Our instructions were to deliver the “flux capacitor,” and, as it turns out, we sort of did. The hand-drawn mark gives the logo an approachable feel.
Letterhead System
The new logo meant a new letterhead system. Norton Street wanted to stick with the red and black color palette of their previous identity and we decided to step it up a notch by adding a silver metallic ink along with a special mix red (two hits of ink, please).
We also parlayed their logo into being part of a flow chart motif, playing off the concept of the business having a process and providing logical business solutions. We couldn’t decide on red versus black business cards, and neither could the client. We made both.
