Twin City Track Club and Winston-Salem Recreation & Parks
The Twin City Track Club, a nonprofit running organization in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, approached Fifth Letter to create mile markers for two popular contiguous trails running through a couple of city parks.
Trailhead Signs
We worked with both the club and the city’s Recreation and Parks Department to create signs that would be harmonious with the environment while still distinctive to walkers, runners, bicyclists, and horseback riders using the trail. The trailhead signs have a map of the trail system and are bilingual (English and Spanish) to help the area’s growing Latino population. Each mile marker, in addition to indicating distance on the trail numerically, has an accompanying map to help visitors chart their progress.
