WFU Logo

Logo

A commemorative logo was created to celebrate the decades-long link between the school and the city. Wait Chapel, the most iconic building on Wake Forest’s campus, was coupled with a simplified skyline of Winston-Salem, symbols that both residents and alumni alike would instantly recognize. Wake Forest’s colors were then used to create an additional association for the school.

WFU Commemorative Poster

Commemorative Poster

A commemorative poster was created to be hung around Winston-Salem in advance of the anniversary celebration as well as being handed out as a keepsake during events. The images focus on four areas of interest: the move of the campus to Winston-Salem, scholarly events and presidential visits, athletics, and community service, all surrounding an image of campus with the city skyline in the background.

WFU Banners

Banners

Vertical banners were placed on lamp posts throughout downtown Winston-Salem and around the main quad on campus. Horizontal banners were created as well and used at the two campus entrances to welcome visitors and returning alumni.

A handful of materials were created for the event, including an invitation sent to special alumni and guests, a program for the first evening’s keynote speeches, and buttons for attendees to wear throughout the weekend and hold onto as a keepsake.

WFU Capital Campaign Video

Capital Campaign Video

Wake Forest University asked Fifth Letter to create a video to celebrate the culmination of their five-year-long “Honoring the Promise” giving campaign. The purpose of the video was to highlight students who were scholarship recipients — scholarships created by the largesse of many alums and friends of the university — and offer them the opportunity to give thanks.

We worked with their alumni advancement office to storyboard the video based upon a provided identity, video footage, archived images, and a basic script. We then helped Wake Forest with some edits to the script as well as some additional footage and still images to fill any gaps in the story. With all the pieces in place, Fifth Letter turned the editing around quickly to create a movie that was very well-received at an event honoring the campaign’s major donors.
